Sexy Chocolate

Being that it is now the season of giving, I have decided to give up attempting to post this month ( for the next couple of weeks) in favor of having a guest poster. She does not quite know this yet and will be quite surprised when she reads this (kinda like getting a Christmas present). So, here we go on December 1st...

Not many people can say that they love their job, however; I honestly can say that I do. One of the ingredients in this stew called employment is the people that I work with, my fellow co-workers. It makes it easier to go in to work knowing that I will be working with someone I not only get along with, but can also have fun with while working. I have developed a close relationship with Kaylie, someone that I don't think that I would have met or have gotten to know outside the work place. I truly consider her to be one of my closest friends. In addition to working with great people, the management staff also makes this job quite enjoyable. Along with the owners, Jim, the general manager, has created a working environment that is both relaxed and professional. He allows us to be ourselves, knowing that a relaxed and easy going staff will make the stay for our guests much more pleasant . Finally, it is the guests, that is the most important ingredient in this stew of employment. Whether it is a young married couple from Biwabik here on their honeymoon, or a salesman from the Cities here to drum up some Northern Minnesota clientele, or an older couple from Sweden in town to meet some of their American cousins, the people that stay with us come from a vast array of backgrounds. I truly enjoy meeting new people and hearing stories of why they are in Duluth. In this paragraph I have shared with you just a few examples of the many reasons that I love my job. I look forward to my future at The Lodge, and hope to make many more friends, and have many more experiences that will make life long memories.
