That's Not Funny

My failings of last Christmas might be a great triumph for the upcoming holiday season. Well, maybe not as I think more about it. Well... it would be a small investment to make and when I came up with the idea, it was totally hilarious. Hilarious to some, maybe not others. And to others, my intended audience, a little cause for concern (and to some in the audience, confirmation of long held beliefs).

So, you must be wondering, what is this most hilarious idea.? Well, I will divulge the goods here in the next moment or two. Sometimes you just need to learn how to wait. Maybe you should just get rid of your microwave (you know you have one) to learn how to be patient.

And, here in lies the deviousness of a plan that needs to be hatched.

The difficult part of this all is finding willing participants. In addition to me, I need to find a black (or Asian) male and an Asian (or black) baby. We would trot ourselves to Walmart to have our picture taken, family style. We could don matching holiday sweaters found at the nearest Goodwill or Salvation Army. Once the photo is procured (with cheesy smiles and all) make holiday greeting cards and mail them to all my relatives. Oh, to be there when my grandfather retrieves his mail and sees the picture of his grandson with his black (or Asian) partner and their Asian (or black) little baby. Simply hilarious. Or, when my cousin Cory gets his, standing in his living room shaking his head muttering “I knew it all along.”

The cost would run, maybe, $40 and it would provide a holiday's worth of entertainment (I would hope).
